Saba Islamic Media (SIM) was established in 1989 as a sole proprietorship dealing with production, distribution and retailing of Islamic literature, audio/video & computer media. To facilitate getting into contractual arrangements, publishing, cross border dealings, etc, Saba Islamic Media Sdn Bhd (SIMSB) was established in 1996. In 1999, SIM & SIMSB were combined to form the "new" SIMSB.

SABA currently owns and operates four outlets located at Taman Setiawangsa KL (Main Outlet/Head Office), Maju Juntion Mall KL, PKNS Complex Shah Alam, & Kuantan CentrePoint. SABA’s methodology has always been "da’wah-through-business", with the now familiar shop front motto : Your Spiritual Wellbeing… our business. 

SABA has thus far created a well respected name for itself, both locally and abroad. SABA’s reputation has placed it in a unique position with respect to customers’ loyalty & suppliers’ trust & confidence. SABA is one of the foremost, if not the foremost business entity in Malaysia, when it comes to Islamic literature, audio/video & computer multimedia, especially in the English language.

SABA is known for its many contributions to Islamic da'wah and social activities in this country, including promotion of World peace through inter-faith dialogue & events, and comparative religion as an important bridge building tool; organising talks & lectures by world-renowned speakers on Islam and organising daei’ development programs. Many, including non-Muslims, know SABA for its free distribution of the special hotel format Abdullah Yusuf Ali Qur’an Translation to reputable hotels in Malaysia.

In its continuous effort to help spread and promote positive values in the Malaysia society, SABA has recently finalised an arrangement with PETRONAS MESRA where selected SABA products are made available at MESRA outlets. [...more info]
